2013. Civilians picking through the rubbles of a recent Syrian army bombing, for scraps of wood to heat their homes in Aleppo. Heating and cooking was done in large part with electricity and after the electrical grid suffered severe damage during the fighting the population had to depend on wood stoves for their necessities.
